The I AM not the MEdia, Inc. has released its 2013/2014 Annual Report, and we have great news to share with all of you. Our focus this year has been creating positive measurable outcomes through our "Mind Over Media" curriculum, and we have succeeded in implementing assessments and capturing data that shows a significant impact of our programs on adolescents. Understanding that impact and how we can improve on a daily basis and in the following year is something we are always pursuing.
Part of those assessments were focussing on the teens and young adults that attended our workshops. Earlier this year we published the results of our surveys about how teens retained what we taught them during the workshops. Overall, the workshops reached it's goal to improve the teens comprehension on media literacy, on how the media influences brands and the importance of self branding. You can find more on this results here.
Our community experience survey also presented us with great feedback about how responsive each participant was to the workshop. According to teachers, school directors and educators, 50% of all the teens was Extremely Responsive, while the other 50% was described as Very Responsive. Overall, this means that we are doing a good job engaging students in our workshops, which is fundamental to spread our message.
We have good news about our facilitators as well. 83.3% of all teachers that replied to our survey rated them as Excellent, and the same percentage thought they were Extremely Prepared. 16.67% gave a Good rate, same percentage for Slightly Prepared. We are on a great path to achieve excellence, and we will make all necessary efforts to achieve 100% on both areas.
More importantly, every single educator would refer the I AM not the Media workshops to other organizations, and characterized the information provided by our workshops as Great or Excellent.
